In a medium bowl, mash together the tuna and avocado. For vegetarians, mash canned chickpeas with avocado.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Remove whole leaves from head of Romaine lettuce. Wash leaves.
Spoon the salad on to the upturned leaf.
