spiced green peas

Serves 4

Ingredients

2 tbsp vegetable oil
0.6 unit onion, diced
0.5 unit red bell pepper, thinly sliced
0.5 tsp cumin
0.5 tsp turmeric
0.5 tsp coriander
0.5 tsp garam masala
2 clove garlic, grated
0.5 tsp salt
0.25 tsp black pepper
0.25 cup water
0.88 lb frozen peas

Directions

To a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat.

Add the onions and pepper and cook until softened, about 8 minutes.

Turn down the heat to low. Add the cumin, turmeric, coriander and garam masala. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic, salt and pepper and cook for 1 more minute.

Add the water and stir well. Stir in the peas. Serve warm, garnished with mint.
