* Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
* Stir together sugar, flour and cinnamon.
* In crust pan, alternate layers of apples, cranberries, and sugar, beginning and ending with apple layers.
* Add margarine in small dots to top of filling.
Crust:
* Cover with top crust which has slits or holes cut in it; seal and flute.
OR
* Cover with a lattice crust.
* Cover edges with foil to prevent excessive browning.
* Remove foil last 15 minutes of baking.
* Bake 40 to 50 minutes, until crust is brown.
