French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

1 Loaf(s) French/Italian Bread (baguette
4 unit apples
1 cup brown sugar
0.5 cup butter
0.67 tbsp cinnamon
8 unit eggs
2 tbsp light corn syrup
3 cup Soy milk (light)
0.67 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions

Butter or oil pan

Cut bread into approx. 1'' cubes.
Whisk/mix with fork:
Eggs
Milk
Cream
Vanilla
Cinnamon

Mix all ingredients in large bowl, let soak for a few minutes, mix again, then transfer into 9x13 pan.

Preheat oven to 350.
Peel, core, and slice the apples, place evenly over top of bread mixture.

Melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a saucepan, stirring with rubber spatula until bubbly. (Should lighten in color and look fluffy.) Remove from heat as soon as that happens. Pour evenly over the bread/apples. Make sure not to put it on all of it for lactose free people.

Bake uncovered for about 60 minutes or until the top is pretty dark brown and the middle looks cooked. It may take longer for a doubled recipe in a larger pan. Let sit 10-15 min.
